Same-sex marriage is now officially banned in the North Carolina State Constitution, as well as civil unions and domestic partnerships.

the last amendment for the constituion was the amendment to outlaw marriage between black people and white people.

I cannot imagine being so terrified of two dicks touching that I’d be willing to amend the fucking state constitution to prevent it.
p. sure straight couples are also effected by this change since civil unions and domestic partnerships are banned as well. It’s a pretty gigantic leap backwards, and not just for gay rights.
