crossxhunter asked: Do you plan on getting corrective eye surgery later in life, or are you comfortable wearing glasses/contacts?
My older brother considered getting laser eye surgery for a little while, and I know my parents are willing to front the cost, but apparently it exacerbates dry eye problems which we both have.
I do know that my eyes are so bad that I don’t have 20/20 vision even with lenses so heavy they leave red marks on the bridge of my nose. I’ve decided to start wearing contacts more to combat it, but my eyesight still seems to be deteriorating with each passing year. When I got new specs last year I had 20/20 but not any more. I’m supposed to be done growing around now, so I don’t even know what the fuck.
Being able to see is integral to my work, so I’m going to have to do some serious reading on the possible side effects of corrective surgery, since glasses and contacts are getting to be a gigantic hassle (I can’t get the dry-eye friendly contact brands in my prescription strength/astigmatism compatible so I am always vaguely irritated when wearing them) so I am definitely considering it but have no idea if I’ll actually go for it any time soon.
